I Really Am Browsing More And More On My Mobile, But...

I have to admit that I was a very early adopter of the iPhone. I had one of those early 2G models with the nice aluminium back and all. Ever since that phone arrived in my pocket, I've been surfing more and more online, on the move through my iPhone smartphone.

Now for all the trouble and claims and counter claims about mobile websites and the lack of Flash on the iPhone in particular, I've found that the convenience of searching and browsing for information straight from the computer in my pocket has been brilliant.

And of course now with the reinvention of the tablet computer, mobile optimised websites are simply becoming essential. Many of the major websites out there have of course adapted to this trend some time ago, and I'm certain many online shopping sites have probably seen an increase in trading online through these mobile portals.

Thankfully smaller businesses are now beginning to make it easier for people like me to search for, find and contact them through my mobile browser. However it's not always that obvious for those smaller business as to how to go about making sure their websites are optimised for the mobile.

There are actually some easy to use "self build" services available for small business, but the issue I suppose here is, does the business owner actually have the technical skills, the design skills or even the time to sit down and design a mobile optimised website?

On many occasions the answer to this question is "No"!

For these businesses that lack the skill or time, there are two options in my mind - miss out on the undeniable growing trend in mobile browsing, or get someone you can trust to design, deliver and maintain your mobile optimised website for you.

The second option should be the obvious one for anyone looking for new customers like me!
